SignLab from slow WordPress to a headless React build
Migrated an established Adelaide signage business to a Next.js headless stack 40+ pages moved with zero downtime and a dramatically faster front-end.

The challenge
SignLab has been Adelaide’s trusted signage company since 1992, with a large catalogue of services spanning signage, vehicle wraps, LED screens, and banners. Their WordPress site had grown slow and cumbersome to update, and the front-end performance was holding back both user experience and local search visibility.
They wanted a modern, fast front-end but without forcing their content team to learn a new system or abandon the content they’d built up over years.
The solution
We kept WordPress as a headless CMS — so the content team edits exactly as before — and rebuilt the entire front-end as a Next.js application deployed on Vercel. Every one of the 40+ service and location pages was migrated across, with a clean component architecture the client’s developers can extend later.
- Headless architecture: WordPress admin, React/Next.js front-end
- Full content migration of 40+ pages with a tested, zero-downtime cutover
- Programmatic local-SEO landing pages (service × suburb)
- Image optimization (AVIF/WebP), lazy-loading, and static generation for speed
“The content team kept editing exactly as before — only the front-end changed, and it got dramatically faster.”
The build
We architected the data layer first, then built the front-end in components with weekly demos on a staging environment.
SEO redirects were mapped and in place before launch, so search equity transferred cleanly and rankings held on cutover.

We needed a headless build with a React front-end on top of WordPress, and Beplus was one of the few outsource teams that actually understood the architecture instead of just promising it. Clean component structure, well-documented, and our in-house devs picked it up without hand-holding.
